i want to get the clean sweep coil so i can use with these 3 detectors i have a cortes - conquistador and compadre thats being modded so i can switch the coils.... my question is anyone using any of these detectors with a clean-sweep coil, and what do you like and or dislike about this combo.... any feed back would be greatly appreciated

I have heard of folks mod'ing their Compadre to accept other coils but how well will they work since the Compadre operates at a different freq. than the Umax's or the Vaquero, Cibola, etc. Has anyone here done it, and what were the results? But the clean sweep should do good on the Cortes and maybe the Conquistador.

I have used it with the Cortes and only problem was that the depth was about half off. If it said depth 8" it was really 4". The CSC is about the only coil I use on a Tesoro any longer. Since most targets are not that deep, I usually dig just about everything and have no need for a TID. Sure it would work fine on your modded Compadre but I think the Conquistador would be the best candidate. I use it on a Silver Sabre uMax which is about the same machine... Supertune and go to town.

Works well on my Conquistador.

decisions decisions ......... should i just leave the compadre alone and get the coil for the cortes and Conquistador?

IMHO I'd leave the Compadre alone as you can interchange coils on your other two machines anyway. The Compadre with the stock coil is a great grab and go combination to keep in your vehicle to do quick checks on new areas and/or tot lots etc.
