Anyone using bedliner on their coil?

Was wondering if it's that big an improvement over coil covers.

I plan on using it, as the coil covers for mine are a pain in the hind quarters...I took the one off my DD coil and tossed it into the woods Tuesday...So if you live in Liverpool, NY near Onondaga Lake park, look in the woods at the Maple Bay Pavillion on the West Shore Trail and you might find it...lol

HH,

Yep, sure do. It works great and you don't have to worry about debris build-up like a coil cover. Also no hassle in trying to remove a cover(pain in the you know what)..

Wonder if it'll help with cracking. Mine has cracks all over.

Yep!:wiggle:I use black spray on truck bed liner on my black search coils. I use white brush on RV rubber roof coating on the bottoms of my white search coils. Works great!

I don't believe in using anything.
cuts down on dept

They used to sell bed liner in one gallon and one pint sized cans. Last time I checked they only had the gallon size. Some like Herculiner come pre-mixed with the shredded rubber mixed in. I don't know if I would like that for a coil surface or not. Bondo used to make bed liner where it came in a separate package and you had to mix it yourself. I have not been able to find that locally lately.

I have used bed liner for a lot of projects and it is extremely durable stuff. However it is expensive and and you can buy a lot of coil covers for the price of a gallon.
There is no reason why it should have any affect on the depth of a detector.

My two cents worth.

Dupli Color has some in a spray can that others have been using. Think I'm going to pick some up this weekend. It also comes in a pint can at NAPA but don't know if I could use that much!

What about Plasti Dip? http://www.plastidip.com/home_solutions/Plasti_Dip
