Anyone using a SE Pro for CW relics??

Hey, just picked up a SE Pro for CW relic hunting in mild soil around VA. I'm interested to hear from folks using this machine for relics. I'd appreciate any advice on settings, tips, tequniques, etc. Thanks in advance!

Should be ok if the soil is mild. I know where I go to the DIV hunts in the Culpeper area the ground is so hot that the TDI and GPX machines work best there. Several machines will not work well at all there. But if your soil is mild then the SE PRO should be ok. I have the TDI and it penetrates the hot soil and gets very deep. Last year I was digging bullets 18" deep and my buddy couldn't even get a signal with his F75. I am looking at getting the SE PRO later for silver coins as I hear it is an excellent machine for silver coins.

Thanks. The hot/red soil is usually west of I-95 for us. Around Richmond, where I hunt, I can get bullets around 12" with my F-75. It's pretty mild, with little to no concern on ground conditions. I was just looking to try something different to see if I could get even deeper/better results. The TDI is an awesome machine, and pulse machines are the only thing to use @ DIV. The VLF machines just cant cut it like they can in that mineralized soil. Most folks I see are using the SE Pro for a coin machine. I don't see why it wouldn't be a good relic machine as well. Thanks again.

I agree with TNreb. Will be going to the hunt mentioned above next month and will be using a TDI. I will leave my F75 ltd at home. CCH
