Anyone using a GPS?

I was thinking about walking the various trench lines I found in the woods to map them.


Anyone give me some recommendations on model and brand?

Garmin.

I have an older 12XL that works very well. It's a dinosaur now but still works as well as ever. Gets you back to within 30 or 40 feet, sometimes closer. My Magellin 300 does not find satellites when I'm in the woods (I got that one free for test driving a Cadillac and it's about worth the price).

Talk about using dinosaurs .... mine still works good and will get you within 3o'
I'm using a Magellan gps 2000 a relic at best. Also won't work well in the woods.
I mostly use it for very large fields instead of sticking twigs into the ground for markers for ground I have already covered. I found out some kids were watching and the next day the twigs were gone. So now I plot the fields and covers pretty well that way.

Sorry I can't recommend a new or good gps system as all I know it this oldie.
Someone will get you some advice and I think their is a drop box on this forum just for GPS check it out...

I use the Meridian Gold works great,if I didnt have it with me when i went stiper fishing in nov,id still be on the bay.Magellan makes it comes in color and blackand white.
