Anyone using a At pro in saltwater like Chesapeake Bay

My CZ 21 is in the shop. I just got my At pro. Thinking of trying it in saltwater of the bay. I don't see much on here about use in saltwater. Anyone doing this? Any success? Any pointers?

I have used my AT Pro in the water at Yorktown the first time last Fri. had to play with ground Blanching but work just find thinking about hitting Va Beach some time

I used mine on a few beaches it was a bit chattery in the water but on dry sand worked well. It may vary depending on the beach.

Salt water and wet sand is the ONE AND ONLY reason that I want to upgrade from EURO ACE - 350 to the AT PRO.
Ground balancing feature makes a huge difference in all soils specially on the high salty.

Re-read page 41 and page 42of your Owner's Manual. Especially ".....the AT Pro is not specifically designed for saltwater use...". By understanding this, perhaps people will not have excessively high expectations. By not understanding this...well, good luck.

Am willing to pay up to $600 for a good salt water - wet sand machine and keep the EUROACE for the land detecting.
What machine you recommend?

Depends where you hunt. I went to one spot( Chesapeake Bay) and had to turn the Sensitivity down to about 2 notches and still got some falsing, I then went to another spot further north and could hunt about 4 notches with minimal falsing. I can say one thing though, it will find small thin gold that the CZ21 won't even here. I found that out last year when I found a small thin baby's gold braclet and ask mt buddy to see if he could pick it up with his CZ20. NOT a PEEP then I found a gold ring that was broken. again with my buddy's CZ20, NOT a PEEP. He actually went out and bought one after seeing that. It might not go as deep as a CZ20, but it will find the small thin gold for sure.

You speak about the AT PRO and you mean that ground balancing was not enough and you had to turn the sens down to 2/8 to silence the machine?
