Anyone used the NEL sharpshooter coil on the Racer 2

If so, any thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated ...Thanks. joe

I can't for the life of me see how you could get any better than the Makro coils. They are off the chain good.

Mars Sniper on the G2 is a great coil. Have sold almost all my Fisher/Tek coils now.

On have the Nel snake for the R2 but haven't had time to try it out yet. I've had no issues with other Nel coils and machines. They are solid coils

Im ordering the mars sniper 6" by 10" coil as an all round coil for trashy areas, nugget and coin shooting. My original racer coil won't let me increase the gain past 39.

I have a NEL Sharpshooter on my Racer 2. In my opinion, it's a great coil... It's not too big or small. Very solid build quality. Also, it works well in shallow water, due to the open design. On my ground I can run the gain around 95, even in high emi areas, and there's almost no chatter. I also have versions of the Sharpshooter for my Fisher F75 DST and Tesoro µMAX machines. I'm able to run the gain nearly wide open on those detectors too. Depth is the same as my 11x7 Racer 2 stock coil.

I run a nel tornado as my field/pasture coil on the R2, it doesn't get much deeper than the stock coil in air tests but it gives a far better response to targets that are on the borderline in depth for the stock coil. It separates really well, i can run it max sen and it's not too heavy. The best find I've had with the R2 was using this coil, a 1576 silver hammered coin at 8inch, it gave real good audio, the tid was a bit jumpy but it stayed in around the right range.

Which coils do you pick from or which detector is the same as the Racer 2? Thanks for your help. Jim
