Anyone used a 70 in a comp. hunt? How did it perform?

I have detected with a few other detectors and we can detect side by side without interference. I could not get with 6' of a Fisher with my XLT. HH, Mike

I have used my 70 with the coinhunting coil in several fee-planted target hunts. (But not a true-speed-competion event for the most targets found)

I'm old and slow, but I was pleased with it... my finds were as well as I usually do. The targets were just covered... shallow... only used the 4-tones and did not try to spend time in using an accessory pinpointer, or the pinpoint mode. Just "swished the target up" with my off hand. There were about 70 participants using all makes and models of VLF/LF type detectors.

After a bit, the coil circular concentric coil seemed to become
heavy." I noticed only minimal crosstalk... but the field was large with space. I sure have nothing negative to say... and I have been attending various Fee-Hunts for many years with different machines.
