Anyone use the Golden Sabre uMax?

If anyone has used the GS uMax, I would like to hear their opinions. I am looking for a good land machine that has good discrimination and depth for hunting very junky land sites (usually construction sites). I have owned both the Golden Sabre Plus, and the Golden Sabre II. Love my GS plus, still have mine since 1989, but it's failing since it's so old. Wish Tesoro still made that model. I owned the GS II - the depth and audio of that machine sucked the big one and I was very happy to part with it. As a result of that fiasco, I haven't bought a new Tesoro in about 7 years. I'm thinking of taking the plunge with the Golden uMax, what do you think? Is is worth owning?

We sell a lot of them, mostly to coin hunters. They like the tone ID. That seems to be their favorite reason for choosing the Golden U/Max. Personally, I like the All Metal VCO mode. I use All Metal a lot and find deeper targets using this mode. When I find a deep target in All Metal, I check the signal with a low set Disc mode. Anything that repeats, even a click, I dig. Get some deep targets this way. Good unit in my opinion. David @ Dixie

1st of all if you have a Tesoro that needs something or is failing... send it to Tesoro... They will fix it for free and send it back to you... NO CHARGE... They are the best when it comes to service.
Now... For the Goldon... I loved mine... Great Coin getter.. love the Tones... My only complaint is the fixed Ground Balance... I like to run different size coils in lots of different ground and hand problems with it being to Negative in some area's with some coils. I solved this problem by having a manual G/B added to tthe machine... Cost me about $35 I think.
After that it was hard to beat.
Good Luck and Happy Hunting
