Anyone use the 3.6 x 18 coil on a Sand Shark?

I have one but have not used it much. It go through the water good. I use it in salt conditions. I would say it comfortable hits a nickle 10 inches. It lacks sensitivity to small (like chians). I talked to Vince and he said the lose of sensitvity is do to the length of the coil. I am happy with it. If you want coverage it is great. I also have the 5 by 10 and have been using it a little more. It is more sensitive to small target and goes through the water like a knife. Depth is about 12 inches + on a nickle and 4 inches on a small silver post earing. The 8 inch coil is a little deeper but I like the 10 inch coverage with the 5 by 10.Once agian I am not had much time behind the sand shark so in time I feel I will do better.Good hunting,Joe

Thanks for the feedback!

Had not thought much about sensitivity to small targets. The 3.6 x 18 coil on the Tejon picks up small chains pretty well, but VLF is different than PI and the Tejon is pretty sensitive to small targets.

I've been using the 10.5 inch round coil on the Sand Shark.
