Anyone use GG amphibians for scuba diving,detecting?

If you have what did you think about the sound volume? I went down about 12' today with a new to me set on my ATP I could barely hear them at full volume. I haven't tried the Garrett Blues but wonder if they would be better since they have no volume control.
 
The Garrett blue waterproof phones are very loud when used on the beach. So loud that I actually put a cotton sock in each cavity to deaden the sound. Never used them under water. Am looking to see if you get a response to the GG question.
