Anyone use a Silver Sabre Plus detector?

I have used a Golden Sabre Plus for 15+ yrs, which is Silver sabre plus a notch disc circuit, nothing more. I would recommend both as excellent coin/jewelry machines, not the deepest machines out there, but they are better than any other machines I've ever used in junky spots - great discrimination and ability to separate multiple close targets easily. They give clear and crisp signals on nickels, jewelry, and silver coins - even if they are deep and are surrounded by junk signals, they don't get messed up by iron like some other machines. If the price is right and machine is in good shape, I would buy it personally.

They were different circuitry other than just the notch discrimination of the Golden. The Silver Sabre Plus had just a little longer life than the Golden Sabre Plus, but I found tit to be a lot more 'touchy' so far as the GB setting was concerned.

I had far fewer ground environment related issues with the Golden Sabre Plus than I did the Silver Sabre Plus.

You are right, however that while they didn't have great depth, they did have the well liked quick response and quiet handling of trash that made Tesoro what they became.
