I had one for a while and will have to say for raw power this detector is the best buy for the money. I didnt like that it had no tone ID as I am so used to it with the Sovereign and Explorer as it make it so easy to tell the difference in target. The depth is really great and this detector you have to ground balance where as the Garrett 250 you dont. There is no meter on the Advantage, but as you know meters are not accrurate and many leave many good targets in the ground with target ID detectors. The Advantage is a heavy detector and not balanced like the Garrett 250 is, but the depth on the Advantage is something many detector costing twice as much dont have. I found it to be very sensitive and notice I would get the old rusty bottle caps fool me, but been told that once you know it well you can tell the difference in them.
I did run into one area where I couldnt used the Advantage as there was a radio tower within a mile that made the Advantage chatter too much to use.
If you check some of the other fourms you will see the Advantage does a great job for coin hunting even though it is more of a relic detectorand if it would have had tone ID I would still have mine. For a good all around detector I feel it is probably the best buy for the money.
