Anyone try prospecting mode on dry sand at a saltwater beach

Since the MXT has the ability to find small gold
I thought it might possibly be good at finding
those small diamond stud earrings that most detectors
would just pass over. Thought i'd like to give it a
try anyhow. At least in the dry sand. Maybe give
the prospecting mode a try. Have the standard 9 1/2"
coil and both dd coils. Am used to hunting the wet sand
and water with detectors that were designed for it but this
would be quite a switch for me. I'm thinking that diamond earrings
would look awfully good in my scoop. Sure would appreciate any
suggestions along these lines. Have only used the
C&J and Relic Mode so far.

It picks up the smallest foil, so I'm sure it will hit a small chain on the dry sand. It will find earring backs. Sometime if I'm in the mood, I might test it on chains in the wet sand, but am not expecting much.
