Anyone try Crossfire II with CX Plus?

Sheldius

New member
Hi,

I'm trying to find a big Crossfire or DD coil for my Master Hunter CX Plus. I want to find coins at 8-10 inches and the stock 7X10 doesn't seem to be doing it for me. On some sites the coils have different listing numbers for the MH models. Is there truely a difference?

Can anyone explain to me if there is a difference between the new Crossfire II and Crossfires coils that would make it not work? I know from Garrett Tech sheets that the MH CX Plus in a 6.5 frequency compared to 7.0 for most others.

Thanks,

Sheldon

Contact Garrett about which older Crossfire Coils will work on that CX Plus. I would like to know too :)

if the control panel cable connector for the coil cable has 5 pins in an "X" pattern then it will only take the "Crossfire" coils. If it has 5 pins in a horseshoe pattern it will only take the "Crossfire II" coils.

The 10x14 is available. Your standard coil should find coins to ten inches or so.Just because you ain't finding any doesn't mean they are there. As I've said a thousand times, 99% of dropped coins are within the reach of most detectors. JUst because a coin is old doesn't mean it's buried halfway to China. People have conjured up this myth that the older they are the deeper they are. It just ain't so.
Contact Mary Penson at Garrett ( maryp@garrett.com 0to find out the answer to your dilemma. The two coils available for your model are the DD and the 4.5.

The only Crossfire coils available for the older CX models were the 8.5, 12.5, and 4.5, so you wouldn't be gaining anything with the older coils.
