Anyone tried the EXcelerator 4x7?

Looking for a coil for extreme trash. Coiltek Platypus and Joey just seem a bit too big. Can anyone provide some feedback on the EXcelerator 4x7?

I have one on its way in the mail to me. I'll also be receiving a 5 inch and an 8 inch in the same box. BUT right now any feedback from me would need to be tempered with the understanding that I'm new to the Explorer 2, as well as the coils.

Dont listen to that Crash, Tagamet is a PROF detectorist!!! LOL
Congrats on your coil selection Tagamet. I have the 10", 8", & 5". I use the 8" most often (Kinda works good for both worlds, clear & trash), but I LOVE the 5" in REALLY trashy areas.

PROF my butt-oxxx (lol).
I did run right out and tried the 5 inch coil and it's a KILLER in just the simple default mode. Tried the 4 X 7 the next day and ended up switching back to the 5 inch coil. The 4 X 7 was giving me fits trying to pinpoint, and I don't have enough daylight after work to experiment. I'll likely give the 8 inch first dibs tomorrow.
Film at 11....

Let me know whatyou think of the 8". Its a good alaround coil. And oh, I need some of your meds. LOL

It pinpoints right in the center of the coil or you can use the tip depending on how you approach the target and if the site is heavily congested with (multiple targets or trash).
The depth is very good although I've been using mine purposely in heavy trash areas but have dug good coin size targets at 8" with a decent "dig me" tone, faint sounding but respectable at that depth.
It's a good coil to have in your arsenal :)
