anyone take it apart

everytime to transport or store at home, or do you keep it in one piece all the time? i would think it would would wear apart the cable after a while of wrapping and unwrapping around the rod so much, what do you think?
 
Hi findit,

I felt the same way you do. But now that I ride a motorcycle full time, I don't have a choice. My PI Pro does not unscrew from the coil, so when I take the rods apart, I just double them up neatly and gently and pack it into my backpack. The Fisher wire is much more maliable. Plus it unwraps itself once you remove it from the back of the console / screen. I do believe that it will wear things out more quickly, but I just only do it as often as I have to .
