Anyone still useing the Cortes do not see any post here?

I bought a Cortes 9/23/15 and only used it 3 times - anyway I have another machine from another company costing a couple hundred less that just out preforms. I am thinking about a Tejon or Vaquero fo my next machine.

get the 6" Concentric coil to complement whatever standard coil it comes with for trashier sites.

I have a Deleon, which is the Cortes little brother and I love it.

I agree about the Vaquero. A lot of people think the Tejon is Tesoro's best machine but I think it's the Vaquero. Smooth and powerful. A joy to use.

I have a Cortes in my arsenal and use it regularly and with good resluts coin shooting in parks, etc.

I'm another who has never ran the Cortes. But I do own the Deleon which isn't exactly the same but close.
I use mine mainly for coin shooting but as I've said before, I'd like to expand my understanding of the graph and VDI and combine it with the Tesoro one tone knowledge I have to aim for other targets like gold.

The Cortes works very well. It's an awesome detector if you buy used for $400. To buy new makes no sense, as there are dozens of machines that have more features for the same price or cheaper.

In view of the price drops happening on FTP products, and the new Ameri-tek detectors, Tesoro may need to re-think their pricing. Isn't a Vaquero and T2 now in the same ballpark?

Well maybe like motorcycles, people are waiting u til more of a summer time here to sell.
I was always told to buy things off season for best price.
Summer, buy snowmobiles. Winter, buy motorcycle lol.
But it way could be that noone wants to let it go...
