Anyone still swinging the GTI 2500?

Back in 2002 or so Garrett let me test a 2500 from a beginner's point of view. This is back when the white coil and treasure talk was still in use. To this day, I have NEVER used a machine that pinpoints as well as that detector. I hardly needed a pin pointer. I can only assume that that newer units are even better. Who is using one and how do you like it?

I've been using mine for a few years, the newer one without the treasure talk, and love it. Pinpointing is good and love the imaging feature. Being able to use all-metal mode is nice too.

I haven't used mine much since I got the At/Pro. Thinking of taking it to the river and hitting the dry river area with it since the At/Pro is just not sounding right lately. It doesn't get the target separation like it did when I first bought it and after they let the river back up in about 40 days, I plan to send it back to Garrett for a check up. It hasn't been the same since the repair. Maybe get my hearing checked first to make sure it isn't me. I found a lot of jewelry with the 2500 when I first went to the river in November of 2012.
