Anyone Seen Or Know Of A Souped Up 6000 XL Pro: whites:

While in New Zealand I was introduced to a electronics wizard who installed ??????? into a 6000 XL Pro something that would get a good 6" more depth in a air test. I know it was only an air test, but he had 5 other white's which could not hold a candle to this machine. Anyone have an idea what was done. Stock coil in all metal mode.

And she is smoke'n Hot with the signal balance turned past 3:00 o'clock with G/B locked and put in S.A.T. all-metal. It has four distinct tones, low tone for iron, low medium tone for foil-pulltab, high tone for zinc penny-dime and a very high tone for quarter and higher. I use the Ferret 5

No Sir,There was an addition added to the board.Had nothing to do with adjusting knobs and switches.

I did'nt say it was the same mod as done in New Zealand, just telling ya about my mod that was added to the board and had it done in the States. And yes, it is all about adjusting the signal balance knob and locking ground balance switch on these analog White's XL Pro/6000Pro XL..... to get the best performance out of them. With the stock 950 coil and set to G.E.B. Normal and a higher than pre-set Signal Balance with a spot on to slightly positive and 'locked' switch ground balance setting.........it will get scary depth. But who, except relic hunters in plowed fields swould hunt in non-motion all-metal? I relic hunt around old houses over 100 years old and G.E.B. Normal all-metal would be impractical with all the iron junk. Then you have the S.A.T. all metal which I use with the 4 tone mod. and then you can hunt in a motion all-metal mode with the tones to ID lower conductive metal junk. Good Luck with finding out about the New Zealand modification. It sounds interesting, but impractical for ME! MY opinion only.
