Anyone running the NEL Sharpshooter or CORS Fortune 9.5"x5.5” DD Search Coil ??

If anyone's running the NEL Sharpshooter or CORS Fortune 9.5"x5.5” DD Search Coil on their Racer (they're the same coil), I'd really like to know how it's working out?

I have the Makro factory 10" coil, but I'm looking for something a bit more EMI resistant (without having the dial down the gain). I know the NEL coils have always handled EMI better then stock coils on other machines, so would really like to hear about how they're working on the Racer1/2 machines.

TIA,
Brian

I've got the CORS Fortune on order and should have it next week. Will have it with me for the next WTHO next month, Are you going?

4th WTHO (Welcome-to-Hunt Outing) in September (1st thru 11th to include both the holiday weekend and following week/weekend) and find out how that aftermarket coil works for you there. I met up with a couple of guys and tried one of those coils in my ground, but I was about as unexcited with it as they were. Compared it with the factory 5½X10 DD on the Racer 2 and FORS Gold + and the 5½X10 Concentric on the FORS Relic and our opinions favored the Makro/Nokta coils.

Didn't notice any real difference from EMI and I usually run with a very high Gain/Sensitivity setting, if conditions allow. Not much EMI in the more desolate places we will be hunting, to include where that beautiful military button came from.

If anyone isn't aware of the WTHO's, they can shoot me an e-mail and I'll send them information on the open-to-anyone outings.

PS: To all readers, we are looking for WTHO sites for later this year (mid-Oct. to mid-Nov.) and next year (April or May and then in September), especially in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and other central and southern states. If you have such a location to entertain a participating group for a 3-4 day Outing, let me know.

Cool, I may just pull the trigger on one too!

Originally the WTHO wasn't looking good for me, but I think I'll be able to make it after all.

I've been using the CORS Fortune coil on both my Red and Black Racers and really do like it. Being in between my OOR and 11X7, the coil rarely comes off. Target ID and separation is spot on and I find that I can crank up the gain quite a bit. Depth I'm not to sure of as I live and central Texas and our grounds become pavement in the summer sun. I've been averaging 4-6 inches on clad with an occasional 7+" in sandy ground. CORS Fortune or NEL Sharpshooter are good additions.
