Anyone running coil cable outside e trac shaft.

I have an excellerator EQ Pro2 coil for my e trac, but I can't get the cable through the shaft. Has anyone had this problem? I was thinking to run cable outside shaft and modify the upper shaft to allow connector to access head connector. I like this idea. It would make changing coils easier. If you have any photos of modified upper shaft please post them........Best Regards

If you have a sunray probe you have no opcion but to run it outside, at least to the box on the middle shaft although i made a hole in mine so i could run it up inside as its neater.
I carry a long pipe cleaner just for threading cables through the shaft(a bit of string would do it too) some of the SEF coils are pretty dificult to pass through the rod pushing but when tied to the pipe cleaner and pulled go through fine

I'll try pulling the cable through with a piece of string etc. Maybe some spray silicone would help. Thanks for the tip.

ok i got one for you,put the caBLE in as far as you can in the lower shaft and start to whip it real fast i seen this done and have also did it it works fine, just make sure noone is standing around you.do the same for the upper shaft it works.

I just tie a bootlace to the cable and thread it in first then pull the cord though, no sweat. I keep the boot lace in me coin pouch and have used it many times changing coils and for other possible stuff.
