Anyone run with their fast recovery off?

Fast recovery is actually another filter in the line of the Etrac's processing according to Des Dunne. In my opinion it slows the Etrac down and makes the signals sound crumby. I haven't used it anywhere that I thought it helped the performance of the machine.

At the beach with the 15" WOT coil. I turn deep Deep ON.

Works fine where there is no "nulling" of the background threshold and a wide open screen(default relic pattern with mode adjustments to suit) but only where there is very little iron trash iron or where there is very little iron oxide.
You can open the Etrac right up.

Starts getting a little more difficult when you turn the Sens. too high in manual . I take just above the recommended settings, where I can, in manual AFTER I have done the noise cancel.

I always leave Deep ON, Fast OFF, Trash Density HIGH and Ground DIfficult... no matter what it seems to always produce the best results, for me.
