Tell me if you hunt Civil War or Colonial relics with your CZ and what kind of depth your getting with the stock coil! Also is it worth my wild to purchase the 10 1/2" coil?
I think the 10.5" coil is a must for big open field hunting. It goes about an inch and a half deeper than the 8' coil in my test garden, on my cz.
My stock 8" coil will hit a 9" deep clad dime in the garden, at all angles.
I mainly hunt the old coins with relics as a byproduct.
The cz's are deep on coins or relics, but they have their minor quirks that you have to get use to.
Great detector.....wouldn't part with it.
If you want to get the most out of your time invest in a 10.5" coil. You won't be disappointed with it's performance. I relic hunt most of the time & that's my go to coil. I very seldom use the 8". I live in south central PA & the ground is pretty hot. There are iron ore mines all over the place. The CZ's are it in my book with depth & ability to handle ground mineralization.
I also use a Sunray 12" coil. It has the depth of the stock 10.5"& covers more ground. The 12" is a little more unstable & picks up emi so bad at time to me that I can't use it. When I can get the 12" to run it does work well.
