Its about the same size as a LC.found it and a lot of old tools. there were pewter buttons, and lots of broken pottery every where. I found a large coat button back with Hammond Turner& Sons BM. Oh by the way ,Hey there everyone, Hope ya all dug some goodies. I think i found an old home site but there is no sign of an old foundation. every hole i dug had broken pottery and old shards. Its the same area that i dug the Virginia coat button last weekend.Someones gotta have good info on what i got into here. any help? seeyallater. HH......

Could it be you've found a colonial trash pile? Sounds similar to one I found in Suffolk last year.
