Anyone read "Research After the Find"?

Tony will probably enjoy it as I touch upon orphanages in it even :) Anyhow, just got my W&E magazine yesterday & this probably sounds stupid, but the first thing I always do is read MY story first before anything else. See, magazines edit several words & sentences and I wrote that like a year ago so you kinda forget everything. I had included a photo of the featured "Boston Railroad" but I guess they decided not to use it for copywrite reasons maybe? Anyhow, I'm pretty proud of that story because it's very different style for me. Took lots of research work, and was more of a "How to" article, rather than the typical "story telling" I've always gotten away with ;)
HH,
Bill

I remember you telling me about that orphanage when you were researching that button. I wrote a similar story one time, but I can't remember if I ever sent it in or if I did and they canned it with some other stuff I sent in a couple years ago. :sadwalk:

& I guess the way I worded the ending sounded like I let the guy touch it but wasn't about to give it away! ;) I should have just said I gave it too him or something to look like a real hero & make the story even better  (but I don't like to embellish too much like some people that I won't mention their names;)).

hi!..bill!
yeah!..don't embelish too much,or people will think you are kinda plastic!.better to tell it like it is!..don't worry,we can take it like real men!..(h.h!)

regards!

Nice one Bill.I think that what makes the hobby fun to find something old and to be able to put some sort of story behind it and learn some history at the same time.
