Anyone out there using the ID EDGE besides Buckeye, and how are they working out? I'm stuck up here in the cold with mine.

The Edge has worked out well so far, for myself. I was able to get out and hunt for a few hours with it this winter. My opinion is that it is a very fun machine to use, first and foremost. I had a great first outing with it, in which I found my first silver coin.

The number ID sometimes has trouble "locking on." The silver coin that I found came in at one point at a +21. After swinging from a different direction it then went into the +30's. Either way I would have dug this signal though....Also, I did get some +36's, which turned out to be negative numbers (-) after a switch in swing direction. Digging these targets, they usually turned up as a long piece of wire, or a hunk of junk metal. Between the tones and numbers, I think it is hard to go wrong with the Edge.

The Pinpoint is great, and I was digging accurately. You have two guidelines - the sound increase and the numbers, a great combo in my opinion.

Maybe it's due to the fact that I came from a basic machine, but I have really taken a liking to the Edge. It's flexible, but take your time, and check your targets from different directions.

It sound like the sweep speed was a tad bit too slow. Next time you encounter the same try raising the sweep speed.

Lock in is far beter abtained with a brisk sweep. :detecting:

Just my thoughts
