Dug this piece this morning and am wondering if any of you guys might know what it could be. It appears to be lead and bigger then a silver dollar. It wasn't to far away from the Remington "nitro club" shotgun shell, which, from the info I got on line, were made from 1922-34. Thanks for any help. HH jim tn
 
It looks to me like a possible Civil War era patriotic bridle rosette :shrug: I've never seen anything like it other than the CW period patriotic buttons
 
Could it be something to do with the Railroad ? Just a bad guess ..... cch
 
Did this ever get a positive ID? I found something very similar a couple years back and posted it somewhere else. Someone refered me to this thread. Looks very similar to what I found only mine looks brass.
