Anyone any Idea what this silver object is its 6" long

To hold a scarf around a ladys neck, y'know, after they wrap it round their neck, and kinda pin it together so's it won't fall off, but never saw one that big or fancy, probly from the 30's or early 40's, cool find

The first thing I thought was a hair pin of some sort but I am not sure.

Museum told me its an 18th century Carving fork,,from some rich lords cutlery

Uhhhh, doesn't look like it has a pin attachment. My question back would be- where did you find it?
