ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS IS?

Some sort of large staple? I found one when I was cutting ground for my wife's flower garden.

It looks like the staple used to hold a power line down to the side of a house after it leaves the weather head. I once had a new box of them. They were for the heavy 3 conductor #4 or #6 size wire as I recall. Nice find.

A small stake to hold something to the ground? Thats my best guess.

The pointed end is fixed into a wall and a clothes line attached to the hook use them all the time in the U K.

Washing line hook.
