It would make a great little tent stake. Easy to push in and easy to pull out of the ground.
 
possible wick ,match holder to light cannon at touch hole,reamer of hole with tapered end other end goes into wooden handle

No. It was found at a cellar hole. I sat on what I think was the front step. Just a perfect granite block where the door would be. I sat there facing away from the house and started digging. I had a small sifter, and came out with a whole bunch of metal trash. but there was a lot!!! so I kept going. found this and a few other cool things. I'll try to get some pics. I found alot of stuff in that area, most from the late 1700's- late 1800's. So who knows what else will come out of this
