Greetings from Wales

I am supposed to be playing golf in Portugal the first week of April, but unfortunately I need an operation and as such have been advised by the Doc not to play golf. Now I don't want to miss out on a lads holiday and my other hobby is metal detectoring.

Does anyone know what the legalities regarding metal detecting in Portugal are? Can you or can't you. I know its illegal in Greece and Turkey, but allowed in Spain and France. Whats the score with Portugal?
