Well-known member
I have seen examples of straight rods for the sovereign and brief explanations of how to do it yourself, but does anyone have a diagram or step by step instructions on how to make your own? Im a do it yourselfer and want to try this as a project even though im no expert. Any help appreciated.

TC,unless you have good aluminum, from another project,I wouldn't make my own the cost is going to be a lot more than to buy one from the guys that usually sell them.By the way stainless steel would weighs too much.I made a couple straight rod asm from aluminum using reverse engineering. The most difficult is getting everything to line up on your drilling.I have a straight rod asm on Ebay that the buyer just needs an arm cuff which the stock one could be used for around 40.00.This is one of the biggest improvements you can make with a Sovereign.
