Anyone know how Garretts customer service is on faulty coils ???

I have a 5X10 DD that I sent in last Monday (11/1/10) and haven't heard back from Garrett yet. The seal around one side of the coil is coming apart and it falses like crazy.

Anyone have any good or bad experiences with Garrett with this type of problem ?

MAN BRAD DID ME UP INFINIUM.....BRAND NEW 10x14 DD.....NEW MOTHER BOARD.....ALL NEW SEALS .....ALL FOR FREE......COULDN"T BELEIVE IT........I THINK YOU WILL BE OK!

It took 2 weeks, but I got my coil back from Garrett today. Good as new, becase it is new. Wow !!! Impressive !!!

I was having such serious doubts about Garretts customer service when I never got a call back from them, that I was listing my Infinium on the classifieds to get a different brand.

That's how serious I take customer service. It is a deal breaker for me.

Well I stand corrected !!! Congrats to Garrett and it's superb customer service. AAA+++++

I have a good deal of first hand experience with Garrett's customer service with regards to a leaking/cracking coil.
It's debatable if one should reveal the full story here as it might increase the blood pressure in some individuals and cause a good deal of over excitement.
Service here in Aust. was limited to the point of absolutely nil, so the coil in question negotiated a number of hurdles before eventually going through the courtesy of Mashdetectors in Oregon, with a satisfactory outcome.

Holidays and all Ya Know equal some delays.

You will be smiling over the outcome ... Garrett has always done its customers right.

Garrett is amazing, awesome, fast I was am so Impressed by garrett I really want the AT PRO-but so bummed it does not have a threshold sound-I hope they make a new model with silent and thershold search mode.I am still considering a garrett machine for park hunting.Euro ace for our candian coins.

I have to say I have delt with other brand names and nothing compared to the service I received from garrett,My last (BLanK) repair bill was over $100 with shipping and took 6 weeks.
Garret service on the other hand - under 2 weeks (I live in canada) -they paid return shipping / gave me new coil / put on new headphone and coil plug on the unit.New O-rings battery door.upgrade the programming.ALL FREE DUDES! This machine was bought used and not on warrenty.

Hi does this mean that you got no service from the Australian supplier? I am just about to purchase an Infinium and have been persuaded that in order to get any repairs done I should buy locally.

Yes, DaveinTassie,

Your deduction on my :garrett: Infinium LS coil service in :ausflag: is correct.
If you need persuading with regards to where you should make your purchase,... then think again,...... seriously!
If you want a pointer, just ask by PM.
