Rob (IL)

New member
My new MXT shoul be here in the next couple days. Is there anyone using one here in Illinois? I live in Lockport 35 miles south of Chicago. Rob

Near Peoria here!! I just bought a new MXT about 6 weeks ago. I played a bit so far but plan on getting serious with it next Spring.

Well you know I haven't used mine yet. I will use it in a week when I hit Texas.

I lived in palos heights many years. And I searched an 1800's park in LOCKPORT...search out the old stone bridge and in the nearby brush...
ALSO at 104th and archer ave. is AL CAPONE'S old bootleg operation...where the old bar was (it is now condo's) had a tunnel leading into the forest kiddie corner of bar which was at the northeast corner of 104th and archer..I think it may be called flavin road....old foundations can be found there...I now live in st.george utah and the hunting is not as good as illinois...

Thanks I'll check them out in the spring. sent you a message.

Have you heard of the Peoria Area Treasure Hunter's Club? We live in Eureka, IL and belong to this GREAT club. They meet the last Tues. of each month. Great group of people. I'm also the V.P. of the club. You can email me for more info if you like. nmiller@mtco.com

Good luck and happy hunting....I love my MXT also.
Larry's wife......Nancy

Thanks Nancy but a little too far for me. I live in Lockport which is only 35 miles SW of Chicago. I found I club to join when I get back this spring.

Good luck rcasio44....and enjoy your winter. We went detecting a bit today. Was a bit cold and windy, but not bad for 01/01/06. What a way to start off the New Year! Plus had to try out my new DX-1 SunRay probe. Works great!!!!
