Anyone ID this muzzle loader??

I picked it up from an estate sale. It's interesting.
My camera batteries went dead so I couldn't shoot any images of it full length.
The barrel is rifled.

Very basic rifle. There will be stamping on the barrel if it's from a kit. Otherwise, it's home made.

Looks to be homemade, with some craftsmanship.
The receiver part is made of 1/8" brass plates, after taking off the forearm, the receiver end looks a little more intricate inside than first thought.
Spotted a letter "G" under the front of the barrel, maybe for Green Mountain Barrels?
Looks to be a .40 cal.
It has been fired.

It was bought from an estate of a rifleman of about 50 years.
Son wasn't sure if he made it, not much info on it.
It's possible it wasn't actually completely finished, it begs for engraving, maybe recarving the stock and forearm for a better fit.
This could be a lovely rifle if taken a step further.

Eather way their alot of fun to shoot, FYI you can "fish" with a roundball gun.
