I have had this detector for at least 10-12 years.Had the battery lead replaces 3 times,still works great,no leaks.Got to get some R and R parts for her: armrest,new battery compartment cover and gasket,and other minor update parts.....Glad to see Fisher still makes the 1280x,after all these years the price hasn't gone up much.Mine came from the 'lifetime warranty' period,I hope it's still good,if I need to use it someday......
