Anyone here try adding a ground balance knob to the f2

So I seen on YouTube and i think the the geocache forum where a guy added one. It is a 10-20 ohm pot if I remember right. The f2 has a fixed resistor that can theoretically unsoldered and the pot soldered in its place. This along with a voltage increase the guy is seeing a few inches more of depth. I am not interested in upping the voltage as of yet but the variable ground balance may be very benifical in my highly mineralized ground.

Please none of the "it don't work" comments unless you know the reason

Did you read my last post in that thread?

Is anyone interested in this if it actually works? Ground balance would help a lot in sandy conditions.

I would be willing to try it on my machine if I knew the part number.

???????
Just trying to help, dude.
Don't see anything with the words, "it don't work" in it.
Why don't you do what you said you would do in that last post and join.
If you ask them, they will probably give you the part number.

Names not dude, he's my plumer up at my mas cabin. I never said you did say that. Just trying to see if anyone else has done it with none of the usual bashing unless it has relevance.

I did also try to join but it denied my email which I have only seen that site for the first time the night I posted looking for F2 mods. Waiting for a admin to mail me back.

I also wanted to make sure I desolder the right resistor before adding the pot.

Just try it yourself. If you'd prefer for someone else to take all the risk and then take the time to make it simple for others to follow, all you need do is wait. If the concept works, it'll eventually get posted.

It seems like as soon as the F2 came out people have been asking if a ground balance knob could be added.
That's why I bought the F4 and it was well worth it, you will get a few more inches.
