Anyone here have tips for finding gold chains with the MXT?

gold chains are tough as they are very small links each of which has to be detectable...not like a solid chunk of gold at all....its a crapshoot, if you find one it will most likely be due to a larger object attached.....not saying it won't happen, but a higher freq. machine has a better chance.
Good Luck

Have you tried practicing with a gold chain? The best I can get with my MXT Pro on my 14K, 1.2 gram chain is about 2 - 2-1/2 inches using the 4x6 DD coil and 3 inches using the 5.3 Eclipse 6-1/2 inch concentric. This was with gain at 10 in C&J mode and the same in Prospecting. Tried with my wife's smaller 14K necklace ( 0.7 gram) and could only get a chirp at 1 inch.
