Anyone here gonna try the new minelab when its released end of this month?

I might, kinda reminds me of the Sov when it was first introduced, how different it was from everything else on the market at the time. This time I can take advantage of internet prices though, my first sov back in the early 90s I paid full price :beers:

I sure am planning on one to try myself as Minelab has always made some great detectors and expect this new one to be even better than we have seen before.

Not going to sell my GT though as that is one I will be keeping and i am sure others that may try the new Minelab and got to know their Sovereigns will keep theirs too.

I am hoping I am going to get the chance to see it in action end of this week from one of the trainers. He will be putting it through the poaces for some of the east coast Distributors. pretty sure he said I could tag along. Not sure I will be able to post anything. I wasn't allowed to post before they releast the info last week.

Let us know how that screen reacts to mult targets IN the water.... im still hoping they do something with the Xcal. ML seems to go in spurts..... with all these new people in the water all they did was up the price on the BBS. As a water hunter now if this machine didnt replace the Xcal then it would be a back up..... thats a little pricy for a back up machine.

Right on both accounts Rick. I dont think minelab has bombed on a detector yet. It would definetly be worth having if it could replace my etrac and excal but I would keep my AT gold and Sov GT.

thats gotta be something your really looking forward to.

I'm waiting on some details to settle out. If another Minelab with a good aftermarket coil can keep up in terms of separation and depth then I'll pass for that price and weight.
