I live on high ground (thankfully). We had around 8 - 9 inches here. Other areas had a lot more than that. All the rivers and creeks have flooded to record levels. Roads all over the place have been shut down due to water. Also a lot of them were damaged and a few just flat washed out. I44 was shut down in two places east of Springfield for several hours. A number of homes have flooded all over the area. Five people have drowned in the Ozarks. Every last one of them drove into water.

The areas that are still in trouble are along the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. Don't think I'd care to be anywhere near either one right now.
