Anyone heard anything more about the underwater version of the new White TDI PI machine??

It's gone quiet lately and even a dealer I know is completely mum on the subject. I'm prepared to give him my $$$'s but he's got nothing to say about the TDI submersible.

Anyone??

Minelab, SE in particular. I discovered two more Whites faithfuls this weekend make the switch to SE's.. But, there's many more who have last year.

.

I've only had one Whites machine and that was back in the 70's. This new discriminating PI, developed with Eric Foster has really got my attention though. It's supposed to be around $1,500 and really, really deep. I haven't heard much about it in the last few weeks though and the talk was that it might launch in June.

I'm in no big rush but I have to admit that my interest is peaked.

Excal 1000

thats got looters blowing cold. I learned in the early 80D's when Whites lost those top engineers.............didn't one start-up Teknetics. He was the best of the best.
That's why I went to the Tek. 8500.

Ive heard that this one might have interchangeable coils..and still be submersible. Also I heard it would be able to handle certain other manufacturers coils (I think minelab in particular). That would open some doors

Thanks Mate: Great info, I'd heard it was being tested in Ecuador but hadn't heard more. A fall release date isn't bad news. even if it turns out to be Xmas. I'm really just looking for something to punch extra deep when the sand moves in and leaves my Excal running dead quiet.

Cheers,

I too am VERY interested in this maching and only heard of it yesterday. Thanks for the article.
