Anyone have any thoughts on the 8.5 HOT coil?

I have a Tejon and am thinking about adding a Vaquero and maybe an older Tesoro. I have the stock coil and a 5.75 that is unmarked but black. It was supossed to be a HOT coil, that is what I ordered but it was a long time ago and really, I don't remember who I bought it from... anyway...

I was thinking that 8.5 DD coil might be nice and i'd love to try one of the new 10x12 SEF coils... I just don't know where i'd use it but I bet, if you can pust the sens with it... it would be a killer coil.

But... what about the 8.5 ??

I'm thinking the only time you might see an advantage with the 8.5DD coil over the stock 8X9 concentric would be in high mineralization that causes the concentric to lose depth or possibly an improvement in ground coverage due to the elongated front to back signal pattern that is more even at depth than the sort of cone shaped concentric signal.

I was thinking that but I don't know anyone who has used one. I generally prefer DD coils and have hardly ever used the stock CC. I have a 5.75 that I use.

I bet the SEF 12x10 is a monster on the Tejon out in the woods or anywhere there isn't a lot of trash, I wish Detech would make an 8x6 for the Tejon.. I would buy one.
