Anyone have any luck with Whites D210? How does it compare to a 6x10?

Personally I like it much better than the 6x10. However, I'm one of the few people who never cared for the 6x10. Ifind the D 10in much more stable for me. I haven't had mine off since it bought it.

While we are compareing the 10"dd how does compare with the 10"SEF. I'm having trouble deciding which to buy (no I can't afford both):nerd:

The 10 inch dd coil will find targets deeper than the 6x9 dd coil and I use it as my primary coil except where there is a lot of mineralization, like hunting for nuggets in NV, AZ, northern CA or OR. In those places, the 6X10 dd is a lot better.

arizonaames, how does the 10" DD do in trashy areas? I have the stock and the 5.3 but was thinking of the 6x10 next year since everyone seems to like it so well.

The 6x10 is a good coil and gives good target separation. It is not the coil if you need the most depth. The 6x10 gets depth closer to a 6" coil, rather than a 10" coil. The 9.5 is deeper than the 6x10. The 10" Excelerator and D2 don't show me any difference between the two. As stated it is a deeper coil and still has good separation though not as good as the 6x10.

There is no 10" SEF there is a 10x12. It is a little deeper than the 10", and seems to handle our rotten soil better. It is bigger and heavier than all the above coils. If there is any trash a different coil is better. In open areas it is great. Rob

Sorry Rob I meant the 10x12 SEF. I've got a few coils 5.3 one of your favorites 6x10 Hilly Billy Bob's fav & the 300mm that came with my MXT I find they all work great in the right conditions . I'm looking for a coil to cover alot of ground that tends to makes 300mm concentric very unstable (rotten soil) with out sacrificing the depth of the 300mm .How does the 10x12 compare with the 300 mm weight wise?

Cheers Ron

I use a 5 inch dd Excellerator Pro for separation in a real trashy area. The narrow band of the 5inch dd is better for that purpose but to answer your question more: the dd coils are a straight line from front to back with the deepest part of that line in the center of the coil or that line. It looks like a straight line, l , . The 950 is a cone: V. It will show every target inside that cone. Therefore, for separation, the dd coils are better at doing just that. The smaller dd coil the better for separation. I hope that answers your question better.:whites:
