BEACH HUNTER

New member
I GOT A COUPLE SILVER COINS,KNOW OF ONE OTHER HUNTER WHO DID TOO. SO ANY ONE GOT A REPORT ABOUT SAND CONDITIONS?? ANYONE HAVE GOOD LUCK??GOLD??

It's about 2 feet below the concrete at Salisbury.
Found one gold chain RIGHT on the surface of the wet sand at Hampton,
but only occasional penny and dimes. I am going to check York at low tide.

I WONDER HOW THIS SEASON WILL BE?? LAST FALL WAS SLOW,THE WINTER WAS ALSO,JUST THAT FEB STORM THAT FELL ON THE FULL MOON.THAT REALLY RIPPED THE BEACH UP!! GOOD LUCK !!

I live close so it's easy to check. At that lot by the arcade in Salisbury
theres an old lady who tries to charge you to park there even though its now free for the season since Oct 1. She charged two other guys with detectors yesterday. She doesn't own the place LOL.
She made more scamming detecorists than I found in 2 hours.

I check that cam from time to time,Hampton has been real slow the last couple winters.I know they brought a lot of new sand in that kinda killed it. hope this winters better.2yrs ago I walked on the beach at the pavillion and could walk under the cement blocks with out touching them.

One good storm with the right tides will move it all.
Meanwhile, it's great weather for just swinging the coil
even if I don't pull in much.

That sounds great! I have not seen that done anywhere before.
It's hard to get an idea what to look for and to understand how much the beaches change with time without something like that.
Are you going to post them on a website?

I'm not too experienced with reading ocean beaches yet, but in my opinion Salisbury at least is sanded in.

I was there a week or two ago when there were some nice cuts on the shoreline that I actually had to jump down, but last night it seemed like everything was just a slow, smooth incline from the high tide mark down to the flat wet sand. I found a very little clad and that was about it.

Patiently waiting for that first really good storm to hit!
