ANYONE HAVE A LCD SCREEN FOR A WHITES XLT LAYING AROUND?

I think Larry (IL) has them , Backwoods did..he may have some still

My DFX is 5 years old and still free. Worth the call. I ask the CS rep if they had them as I damaged mine with the digger and he is mailing ot to me.
Jim

I DON'T NEED THE LCD PROTECTOR,I NEED THE MAIN LCD BOARD THAT PLUGS INTO THE CONTROL BOARD INSIDE THE HOUSING....WHEN MACHINE BOOTS UP ALL I GET IS BLACK LINES ACROSS THE SCREEN,THANKS TO ALL THAT HAVE REPLIED SO FAR

I would suggest calling White's service and talk to Todd. A free one might be available from the parts stockpile. I also might suggest, if you haven't done so already, cleaning and re-seating the ribbon connector. They have been know to oxidize.

But ive read somewhere else (cant say) that some electronic stores sell generic screens that should work ( a lot less )

LCD screens are driven by special circuits, they don't really have a drop in alt, you have to replace it with the same one or you could burn up the whole device. Call white's won't hurt, could get one really cheap or even free, it's worth the try to do it. I would.

I purchased 3 on e-bay for 9.99 each
PG12864k power tip
they use KS107, KS108B controler.
same as stock.
I took a good bit of work but i made i fit.
The back light has to be rewired, powered from a different source
as it operates on dc not ac like stock.
The screen is thicker because of the led backlite
so the case screen mounts have to be cut down.
But it all fits in the case and works .
I like the Yellow backlite.
I would NOT recomend anyone installing one of these.

thanks douce, great info.....could you email me more details about back light wiring, plus i might have a couple questions about the pins

I got mine from white...took minutes to unplug and replug...cost was about $50.00 shipped from OR . I dont think i have the save' to rewire that sort of thing......sparrkssss

If youre handy go for it or call Whites for part info...cant hurt

the factory is just up the road in Inverness tocdok maybe its not the screen, give them a visit, at worst 96quid to rebirth the detector is cheaper than a new one

Douce thanks man on the info xlt screen. Do you know what the yellow back light DC volt it is? Could help me on this,we are going to order one of the PG12864k part to replace ours with. We would be really be thankful if you could help us get it rewired. Thanks.
