I am looking for rings on inland grassland sites with my CTX 3030. I am digging plenty of coins but so far no rings. I dig foil and tabs! Ok so you could ask the question why pay 2k for a detector
just to dig foil and tabs. Crazy ? I could pay

All I can tell you is the gold ring and gold solid bracelet I found with my CTX had rock solid numbers. Pulltabs seem to bounce around, but I still dig them otherwise I might miss an earring or chain.

I have noticed that too. The gold stuff seems to really give off solid strong signals.

you will find it if it's there,,,,,,

What VDI are you all digging for gold? We know it's a lower tone sort of.

Any medium tone on most detectors. Gold and platinum falls in the range between foil and copper. On AT-Pro/Gold anywhere between 30 to 82 and on CTX3030/Etrac from 12-01 to 12-42.(Depending on your tone setup)

There are a couple charts of TID numbers for various gold rings, over on the CTX3030 Resource Center.

You can get there by clicking on
