Anyone got a fix for the constant coil problems of the BBS and Tornado Coils?

Seems like every season I need to get anot one of these because they built the connector so lousy.
Any better way to procect the switch and wires coming out of the box? (XS2aPro and pprobably the GT too).

Are you hip-mounting the detector?

I would guess you are doing something wrong. Don't put too much tension on the plug where the wire exits by either keeping things loose there on the shaft or running a loop of coil through your belt if hip or chest mounted. For my Minelab "chest" bag I run a loop through the velcro thing on the back of it before it goes up into the box at the bottom. Also, head over to your local RC plane/car hobby store with those bad coils. Many of them will solder things for a few bucks for people. I can solder myself but I've seen plenty of people bring in all kinds of odd items to the RC store to get fixed.

hmm had lots and never one come loose yet, something is not right
