Anyone "frozen in" for the winter in need of a "silver fix?"

I got out for some hunting today, and managed a couple shiny ones...figured I'd post them for all of you up north, who haven't swung a coil in awhile. Since Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow, and thus Spring is "just around the corner," it shouldn't be too much longer! Until then, maybe these will help a bit... (the other item is a 5-mil Oklahoma tax token)

Thanks for looking!

Nice hunt Steve.

I've actually been able to squeeze in some hunts myself over the last few weeks because of this crazy IL weather.

Gets down to zero here one day...then like yesterday back up to 52 degrees??? Welcome to IL.:bouncy:

I've made a few silver finds already this year...but nothing bigger than a dime. Nice to see you pop a quarter out.

Thanks all...

Yeah, Bryce...there's been a bit of warm weather on occasion for MANY of the places that are usually frozen solid this time of year. Glad to hear you've managed a few shiny ones yourself so far this year... :)

For the rest of you, it won't be too much longer! :)

:sadwalk: Still frozen, and snow covered here, but I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see the finds of others, and it is inspiring. :clapping:

Nice digs Steve ... nice to see your posts again !

Thanks all!

McDave -- combination of a major home project last fall, and my favorite spot being about "dried up," led to a reduced number of finds. I found ONE, repeat ONE silver coin from mid September through the end of last year (again, limited hunting, and lack of new spots to hunt)! However, I've been doing a bit better this year -- a bit more hunting, now that my project is finished, and trying a few new spots, has resulted in 5 silvers, a Buff, 10 wheaties, a few tokens...I gotta keep at it and get a head start on you, because if you pick up where you did last fall, you'll be off and running as soon as it thaws up there! Seriously, though, I wish great luck for you this year!

Thanks Steve ... hope your year is prosperous as well. And you have about a month (if I'm lucky) and a half (more likely) to get your count up. I'm right behind you, don't look back !
