I'd be more than happy to meet up some time though. You should find that there are a good many folks that detect in your area though. I am new here... just joined tonight! I have detected with a friend from NC but have never detected around Columbia. I've only gone searching for Civil War relics with my friend but am open to diggin' anything, lol -- however, the Civil War is my real passion! My friend had an extra detector which I always borrowed when we went digging.

I am now buying a Minelab but won't have it till November. I have been wanting to meet some people around here to go digging with! Please drop me a line, more about my Civil War connections on my link below. I'd be glad to tag along with you also, or maybe the three of us could go huntin'? Are you near Orangeburg? As I was telling countryboy, I'm really interested in Civil War sites... know of any down that way? Are you familiar with the DIV hunts in VA? I just got my first invite to DIV VII next spring... very excited about that! Later!
