Anyone ever use the Master Hunter CX

Yes....I owned one several years ago and sold it. I recently got another one, because I had always regretted selling the old one. It`s a good coin and jewellery hunter, and also comes with a true all metal mode which is great in all metal mode. A lot of machines don`t ID in true all metal mode, but the Master Hunter does give a target probability just like the Infinium, at a lesser cost.

HI John;
Saw one for sale for around $260 used.
I see there is an attachment one can buy for it so you can look for
deep buried treasure boxes. Have you used it for that purpose?

There is an attachment you can use to search for cache sized objects. I don't have one. I have never used one either. I probably would get one if I was retired, but right now I have to get my couple of hours in here and there.

I used a CXIII which has a lot of similarities. It is a great detector with a lot of features. You can also get the Treasure Hound Depth Multiplier which is great for searching for caches and other large, deep objects.

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a CX, bought it new in 1993. (Sheesh, I wish I could afford a newer detector). Anyway, the CX is a good machine. It has the analog readout, rather than LCD. Kinda heavy, needing 6 C batteries. It was one of the top of the line back in the day, and its still my main machine.

Robert,

I own both a CXIII and GTI2500. I use the 2500 more than the CX but only because it has a larger LCD with more information to better identify targets. The CX is far and away the better ergonomically designed unit, I can swing it easily twice as long as the 2500. If the CX had the same display as the 2500, I'd never pick the 2500 up. But since that is not the case, I do find more with the 2500 due to the fact that I use it much of the time and the additional information.

I have never used the multiplying coils so experience there.

..that the newest CX is kinda like a Frankenstein detector. That faux analogue display is pretty bad. Would rather have the older style. ..Willy.
